About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- **💻🩺 HOW YOU'LL TRANSFORM HEALTHCARE IN DAY-TO-DAY OPERATIONS:**
- Provide legal support for Afya's corporate area, focusing on drafting, reviewing and organizing corporate documents and overseeing the corporate routines of the group's companies;
- Draft and review powers of attorney, minutes, articles of association, corporate amendments, bylaws and other corporate acts;
- Support the coordination and execution of corporate restructuring projects, including mergers, incorporations, demergers/spin-offs and internal reorganizations;
- Assist in maintaining and updating corporate books and filings with the competent authorities, including Commercial Registries and notary offices;
- Support compliance with legal and regulatory obligations related to the corporate structure of group companies;
- Review legal and corporate documents to ensure conformity with applicable law and internal governance policies;
- Liaise with external law firms and with various internal departments, ensuring alignment, agility and quality in the execution of corporate procedures;
- Support the organization of internal governance systems, corporate folders, legal databases and internal controls, ensuring traceability, integrity and document control;
- Manage multiple simultaneous tasks with a strong sense of priority, attention to detail and commitment to deadlines and deliverables;
- Act proactively with a high sense of accountability, strong organizational skills and a focus on continuous improvement of the area's processes.
Requirements
What you’ll need- **🔎 WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR (but we don't expect a single candidate to meet every requirement):**
- Law degree (Bachelor of Laws - LL.B. or equivalent);
- Active registration with the Brazilian Bar Association (OAB);
- Previous experience in Corporate Law, either at a law firm or within a corporate legal department;
- Practical knowledge in drafting corporate acts and handling procedures before Commercial Registries and notary offices;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and strong organizational and document control skills;
- Desirable: experience with M&A transactions and knowledge of corporate structures of publicly listed companies.
