About the role

  • Develop and maintain backend services using modern technologies (e.g., Python, Go, or Node.js);
  • Build distributed systems using messaging (Kafka, RabbitMQ) and microservices architecture;
  • Provide technical leadership on critical projects, ensuring solution quality, performance, and resilience;
  • Actively participate in technical rituals such as code reviews and architecture discussions;
  • Design and evolve scalable, sustainable architectures, balancing performance, cost, security, and availability trade-offs;
  • Work on projects with multiple integrations (external APIs, legacy systems, billing, authentication, etc.);
  • Collaborate with Product teams to make technical decisions and define solutions;
  • Ensure engineering best practices, including automated testing, observability, and continuous deployment;
  • Operate in high-availability, mission-critical environments.

Requirements

  • Strong expertise in modern backend development with at least one primary language (e.g., Python, Go, or Node.js);
  • Experience with distributed systems, messaging (Kafka, RabbitMQ), and service-oriented/microservices architectures;
  • Knowledge of modern infrastructure: Docker, CI/CD, automated testing, monitoring/logging, and continuous deployment;
  • Familiarity with relational and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis);
  • Ability to make technical decisions considering performance, scalability, cost, and security trade-offs;
  • Hands-on experience developing backend systems with modern stacks (FastAPI, Django, Express, Echo, Fiber, etc.);
  • Leadership in projects with multiple integrations and technical dependencies (e.g., external APIs, billing, authentication, legacy systems);
  • Experience with high-availability or mission-critical products;
  • Ability to design sustainable architectural solutions and guide technical decisions together with Product teams.
