About the role
- monitors adherence to all applicable regulatory requirements, policies, procedures, and Compliance processes
- assists more experienced analysts in interpretation, monitoring, investigation, remediation, and reporting
- operates with some latitude for independent action and decision-making
- consults with senior team members and management on complex issues
- reviews documents within area of responsibility for compliance with standards and guidelines
- prepares documentation for submission to appropriate agencies
- communicates with state insurance departments to resolve issues
- provides advice and guidance to department management
- assists with certificate management and form maintenance
- maintains effective and accurate online records and databases
- performs research for inter-departmental partners regarding legislative changes
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Liberal Arts, or a related field
- 2 years of job-related work experience
- General knowledge of the insurance industry, including theory, application, products, processes, and terminology
- Ability to interpret complex language in state insurance laws and regulations
- General knowledge and understanding of NAIC Model Laws and Regulations
- General knowledge and understanding of Aflac’s policy language, products, benefits, and limitations
