About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Partner with Client Success and Marketplace Teams as the data SME for Revenue segments and merchants
Create business cases, insights, dashboards, and experiments for Affirm’s external merchant base
Conduct internal analyses to assess Revenue performance, drive recommendations, and inform decisions
Standardize common use cases and provide analytics infrastructure
Automate analyses and dashboards to scale decisions and execution
Define KPIs, performance benchmarks, and methodologies using structured and unstructured data sources
Provide project and analytics guidance to cross-functional teams as the analytics point of contact
Propose, monitor, and contextualize experiments to optimize go-to-market efforts, quantify Affirm’s value to prospective merchants, and upsell enhanced offers

Requirements

What you’ll need

5+ years of experience in an analytically-driven role (consulting, finance, analytics, etc.)
Strong working knowledge of SQL
Experience with data visualization tools (e.g. Sigma, Looker, Tableau)
Understanding or demonstrated aptitude to learn Python is a plus
Demonstrated aptitude in leveraging AI tools for analytics (Cursor, Claude Code, etc.)
Exceptional problem-solving skills, including ability to operate in ambiguity and establish analytical frameworks
Ability to create structure in ambiguous situations and choose impactful data to drive decisions
Ability to communicate effectively and craft compelling narratives for business and technical stakeholders
Strong organization and execution skills; ability to operate independently and drive multiple strategic initiatives simultaneously
Track record of building successful cross-functional relationships internally and externally
Track record of driving projects end to end, from strategy to implementation
Passion and drive to disrupt the retail and lending industry
Knowledge of the FinTech or Payments industry is nice to have
Prior experience performing data analytics for marketplace platforms is nice to have
