About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own the design, scalability, and reliability of build pipelines across multiple services and platforms
  • Optimize build times, test coverage, reporting, and developer feedback cycles
  • Implement monitoring, alerting, and incident response processes for CI systems
  • Work closely across engineering to ensure smooth integrations and deployment workflows
  • Identify developer pain points and lead productivity initiatives through tooling, automation, and best practices
  • Evangelize CI/CD practices across the organization
  • Contribute to and help drive the vision for continuous integration and developer productivity infrastructure
  • Lead and mentor other CI engineers
  • Partner with engineering leadership to align CI systems with product and platform goals

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Proven experience driving and leading engineering efforts in CI, build systems, or developer productivity domains
  • Strong background in modern build systems, such as GitHub, Buildkite, and Artifactory
  • Familiarity with AWS, Kubernetes, and infrastructure-as-code practices
  • Programming experience with Python, Kotlin, Java, or similar
  • Ability to guide technical decision-making
  • Proficiency managing build systems and frameworks for large monorepos
  • Equivalent practical experience or a Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • Active contribution to open source projects or large-scale software development at a leading tech company is a plus
  • Curiosity about AI tools and emerging technologies, with willingness to learn and leverage them
