About the role
- Define technical direction, long-term roadmap, and strategic initiatives for Marketplace and Search
- Collaborate with stakeholders across teams to implement technical excellence and business results
- Create and influence ownership culture focused on scale and efficiency
- Guide and deliver critical user experiences that deliver customer value quickly and reliably
- Design, implement, and extend core platform components to enable new products and features
- Architect and contribute to decisions on platforms, tools, and technologies for consistency and reliability
- Mentor and lead engineers, champion best practices, and help grow engineering teams
- Coordinate across iOS, Android, and Web platforms within the Marketplace domain
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience working across the stack driving consumer experiences
- Proven leadership in leading critical projects and leveraging multiple engineering teams
- Extensive experience developing and implementing technical strategy for reliability and responsiveness
- Ownership mindset and ability to influence a culture of accountability
- Customer-first mindset and ability to translate customer needs into technical decisions
- Comfortable with ambiguity and improving complex systems
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Either equivalent practical experience or a Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- Bonus: experience with Kotlin or Python
- Bonus: prior frontend (mobile, web) experience
