  • Affirm reinvents credit to make it more honest and friendly; giving consumers the flexibility to buy now and pay later without any hidden fees or compounding interest.\n
  • The Product Creative team shapes the visual experience of Affirm’s owned channels; collaborating with Product, Growth, Content Design, and Engineering.\n
  • Lead the design and execution of Affirm’s marketing and product communications across email, in-app messages, web, and beyond.\n
  • Develop a unified design ecosystem of assets, ensuring consistency, scalability, and high-quality craft across channels.\n
  • Contribute to the development and expansion of Affirm’s Communications Design System; build reusable components and documentation.\n
  • Co-design in-app experiences with promo platform team and growth initiatives.\n
  • Engage with teams across Affirm to educate and provide guidance on visual strategy and best practices.\n
  • Drive innovation in visual design with new techniques, motion, and interactivity where applicable.

Requirements

  • 4+ years experience in visual design, communications design, or product design roles.\n
  • A strong portfolio showcasing high-quality visual design, with an emphasis on clarity, scalability, and impactful storytelling.\n
  • Hands-on experience designing for email, web, and in-product messaging, with an understanding of best practices for each medium.\n
  • High proficiency with Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and email design tools such as Contentful and SFMC.\n
  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS, motion design (LottieFiles), and WCAG accessibility principles.\n
  • Ability to articulate design thinking and rationale clearly, effectively communicating the \"why\" behind design decisions and ensuring alignment across teams.\n
  • Experience building or contributing to design systems, with an understanding of scalable frameworks and documentation best practices.\n
  • Comfort working in ambiguity, with the ability to self-direct, prioritize, and clearly communicate with stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.\n
  • A strategic mindset with an eye for detail—you are meticulous when it comes to typography, grids, balance, and whitespace.
