About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Break down larger projects into individual tasks, deliver them in multiple phases, and collaborate to ensure timely delivery
Collaborate with product management, design, and analytics during ideation and product development
Articulate technical constraints and partner on decisions involving risks and trade-offs
Create and monitor metrics for team artifacts and escalate issues when needed
Support operational availability, keep-the-lights-on work, and on-call efforts
Participate in growth and development activities, including interviews

Requirements

What you’ll need

1.5+ years of experience as a software engineer
Experience designing, developing, and launching backend systems
Proficiency in Python or Kotlin
Familiarity with distributed systems, AWS, MySQL, and Kubernetes
Ability to design solutions involving multiple software components
Ability to write clear, well-tested, extensible code
Comfort navigating large codebases and debugging others' code
Experience providing feedback through code reviews
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Equivalent practical experience or a Bachelor’s degree in a related field
