About the role
- Deliver virtual individual and group counseling sessions supporting recovery and promoting wellness
- Conduct intake assessments to evaluate Member readiness and determine appropriate level of care
- Facilitate group and one-on-one counseling sessions using Affect’s evidence-based curriculum
- Provide crisis support and coordinate appropriate referrals when needed
- Maintain timely, accurate documentation in our electronic medical record (EMR) system
- Collaborate with clinical supervisors on individualized treatment and discharge planning
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and all relevant state regulations
- Work as part of Affect’s coordinated care model combining mobile technology, counseling, and medical care to support Members
Requirements
- Active and verifiable license from one of the following Iowa licenses: LISW, LMFT, LMHC, CADC, IADC, IAADC, as well as your state of residence. All credentials must be verified through the State Board’s website as part of the application process
- Proficient with Microsoft Office or Google Suite, EMR systems, and telehealth platforms
- Passionate about supporting individuals in recovery and building therapeutic relationships
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced, mission-driven startup environment
- Have a private, HIPAA-compliant workspace and reliable internet
