About the role

  • Develop, implement, and maintain quality standards for products and processes.
  • Analyze production processes, identify issues, ensure compliance with quality standards, and seek continuous improvements.
  • Work closely with production, design, and management to ensure quality across product development and manufacturing.
  • Create and drive CAPA projects; determine root cause and implement corrective actions.
  • Design and develop quality control systems, quality assurance plans, and inspection processes.
  • Conduct internal and supplier audits.
  • Ensure PPAPs are in place and approved prior to production for custom parts; address supplier escapes and internal turn-backs through CAPA.
  • Identify and qualify alternate vendors for new supplier development; review engineering and manufacturing specifications.
  • Create robust control plans; ensure PDP process is followed for new product introduction; evaluate beta test results and dealer feedback.
  • Implement lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other quality improvement methodologies; collaborate to streamline workflows and reduce waste.
  • Maintain records of corrective actions, inspections, and quality audits; prepare quality metrics and reports.
  • Develop and conduct tests to assess product quality, validate and calibrate testing equipment.
  • Train staff in quality control procedures and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Quality Assurance, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • 2-5 years of experience in quality engineering or quality assurance, preferably in manufacturing.
  • Six Sigma certification, or similar credentials are desirable.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in quality control tools and software.
  • In-depth knowledge of quality standards.
  • Experience with quality methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, and FMEA.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality products.
