Senior Product Marketing Manager

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop and maintain positioning and messaging frameworks across AEM's product portfolio, translating technical capabilities into buyer-relevant value propositions
- Ensure positioning holds up in competitive sales cycles and reflects how buyers actually make decisions
- Own competitive intelligence as an ongoing discipline, not a one-time project
- Monitor competitor positioning, product developments, and go-to-market moves across the environmental monitoring industry
- Synthesize findings into usable briefs and enable sales with current, credible differentiation
- Build and maintain the sales enablement library: battle cards, one-pagers, solution briefs, pitch narratives, and objection-handling guides
- Ensure field teams have current, on-message materials that reflect actual product positioning and competitive reality
- Work closely with sales leadership to understand where the gaps are and close them
- Plan and execute product and feature launches end to end, from internal readiness through external announcement
- Coordinate across Product, Sales and Marketing to land launches with impact
- Train and prepare sales and support teams ahead of new product introductions
- Contribute to AEM's thought leadership presence through bylines, speaking abstracts, white papers, and campaign messaging
- Help define the narrative that differentiates AEM in a competitive market
- Provide messaging and copy support across web, campaigns, press releases, and partner communications
- Serve as a positioning and content resource for the broader marketing team
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree required
- MBA or equivalent experience a plus
- 8 or more years of total experience, with at least 4 years in B2B product marketing, preferably at a company selling data, software, or technology products
- Experience in the environmental monitoring, weather, geospatial, or adjacent data or technology sector is strongly preferred
- Demonstrated ability to develop positioning frameworks, messaging hierarchies, and value propositions that hold up in competitive sales cycles
- Strong analytical skills
- Comfortable working with market data, win/loss analysis, and usage metrics to drive decisions
- Proven track record of producing sales enablement materials that field teams actually use
- Skilled communicator across formats: executive presentations, customer-facing copy, internal briefs, and long-form thought leadership
- Practical, active fluency with AI tools applied to research, content development, competitive analysis, and workflow automation
- Able to articulate where and why AI adds genuine leverage.
