About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- perform various environmental due diligence projects within our HUD Services division
- conduct environmental reviews
- complete state and federal regulatory program file reviews
- conduct field investigations
- possess a basic understanding of commercial real estate lending and finance
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience performing environmental due diligence projects, such as Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs) preferred
- Extensive knowledge and experience in assessing various property types preferred
- Experience in evaluating all types of environmental regulatory cases, such as LUST, State Hazardous Wastes, CERCLIS, and NPL sites preferred
- Experience, knowledge or interest in the Related Federal Laws and Authorities as described under the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) of 1969
- Ability to consult with local, state and federal agencies
- Experience with completing Part 50 and Part 58 Environmental Review Records for local, state and federal agencies a plus
- Willingness to populate the HUD Environmental Review Online Systems (HEROS) platform
- Excellent writing skills required
- Be extremely organized and have great time management and multi-tasking skills
- Personable and able to communicate with people at all levels
- Willingness to travel
