About the role
- Execute cost-saving initiatives for large project procurements through detailed planning and hands-on implementation.
- Collaborate with the quotation team to select the most suitable partners based on project requirements.
- Perform detailed cost breakdowns of Buyout systems (e.g., electromechanical systems, panel distribution) to identify savings opportunities.
- Lead operational cost-reduction projects in collaboration with factory teams to enhance project margins and improve production processes.
- Maintain and manage supplier relationships to ensure competitive pricing, timely delivery, and quality standards.
- Monitor and analyze market trends to identify new suppliers and ensure supply chain continuity.
- Negotiate contracts with a focus on operational reliability, timely supply, and cost efficiency.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering ideally or similar.
- Master Degree in Purchasing would be perfect.
- At least 5-10 years of experience in procurement or supply chain roles, such as Commodity Buyer or Category Leader, within the electrical equipment, power systems, or switchgear industries.
- Proven experience in executing procurement plans, conducting supplier assessments, and driving cost efficiencies in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong expertise in performing cost analysis and identifying actionable savings in complex systems, especially in electromechanical and electrical components.
- Hands-on experience working with cross-functional teams, including factory and production units, to implement cost-reduction initiatives and optimize procurement operations.
- Practical knowledge of market trends and sourcing strategies, with the ability to adapt quickly to changing operational needs.
- Willingness to travel occasionally for supplier meetings and project-related requirements.
