About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Conduct safety orientation to workers, owners and clients
  • Train employees on ONxpress Health, Safety and Environmental Manual
  • Conduct workplace inspections, behavior-based observations and audits
  • Develop worksite safety plans – such as emergency plans, environmental or site safety plans
  • Conduct studies and analyze EHS data trends
  • Liaise with Government agencies as required
  • Prepare and assist with external safety audits

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in the construction industry in a Health and Safety role
  • Canadian Registered Safety Technician (CRST), National Construction Safety Officer (NCSO) and/or Certificate of Recognition (COR) Auditor preferred
  • Intermediate to advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driver's abstract
