Key responsibilities & impact

The Manager, Project – New Nuclear Development leads front-end development and execution readiness for advanced nuclear new build projects across the U.S.
Reporting to the Director, New Nuclear Development, this role supports Aecon’s New Nuclear portfolio, including Small Modular Reactors (SMRs), first of a kind advanced reactor technologies, and large gigawatt-scale nuclear projects.
Working closely with Business Development, Engineering, Construction, Project Controls, OEMs, utilities, and regulators, the role spans early development, pre-construction planning, and execution oversight.
Provide leadership in developing and implementing the project execution plan.
Coordinate cross-functional teams to align on execution goals, milestones, and deliverables.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
PMP certification preferred.
Minimum 15 years of project management experience, including 5+ years in EPC or nuclear construction environments.
10+ years of nuclear construction experience in a supervisory or leadership role.
Experience with large-scale nuclear projects (AP1000 or equivalent an asset).
Strong knowledge of nuclear estimating, scheduling, project controls, and execution planning.
