About the role
- The Manager, Project – New Nuclear Development leads front-end development and execution readiness for advanced nuclear new build projects across the U.S.
- Reporting to the Director, New Nuclear Development, this role supports Aecon’s New Nuclear portfolio, including Small Modular Reactors (SMRs), first of a kind advanced reactor technologies, and large gigawatt-scale nuclear projects.
- Working closely with Business Development, Engineering, Construction, Project Controls, OEMs, utilities, and regulators, the role spans early development, pre-construction planning, and execution oversight.
- Provide leadership in developing and implementing the project execution plan.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to align on execution goals, milestones, and deliverables.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- PMP certification preferred.
- Minimum 15 years of project management experience, including 5+ years in EPC or nuclear construction environments.
- 10+ years of nuclear construction experience in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Experience with large-scale nuclear projects (AP1000 or equivalent an asset).
- Strong knowledge of nuclear estimating, scheduling, project controls, and execution planning.
