About the role
- Support planning, sustainability, environmental, and engineering efforts from project conception through construction
- Oversee design document consistency and compliance
- Advise on environmental strategy
- Ensure regulatory adherence
- Collaborate with Construction and Rail Operations on system policies, station design, and alignments
Requirements
- BA/BS + 12 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education, including 4 years of leadership
- Master’s degree in engineering, transportation, or related discipline (preferred)
- 25 years of relevant experience and 8 years of leadership (preferred)
- Professional Engineer (PE) license (preferred)
- Experience with high-speed rail projects in a senior leadership capacity (preferred)
- Familiarity with advanced rail maintenance technologies and sustainable design practices (preferred)
- Experience working in multidisciplinary, multi-stakeholder project environments (preferred)
- Proven expertise in planning and managing large-scale rail maintenance facilities (preferred)
- Strong understanding of rail vehicle servicing operations and requirements (preferred)
- Knowledge of applicable federal and state regulations, including FRA and California requirements (preferred)
- Ability to prepare comprehensive technical documents and plans (preferred)
- Excellent communication, leadership, and project coordination skills (preferred)
