About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provide telephonic outreach and support for post-discharge patients
Conduct assessments and psychosocial evaluations using DSM criteria
Implement crisis plans and provide interventions for high-risk patients
Administer clinically validated screening tools and assessments
Maintain current knowledge of behavioral health and treatment modalities
Identify and resolve barriers to accessing behavioral health services
Adhere to professional standards and licensing board ethics
Communicate with medical staff, leadership, and team members
Document assessments and progress updates in the medical record
Exercise clinical judgment and decision-making in a fast-paced environment
Participate in policy development, implementation, and evaluation
Collaborate with team members to manage caseload

Requirements

What you’ll need

Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or Marriage and Family Therapy from an accredited graduate school, or Associate's or bachelor's degree in nursing with full clinical licensure
Full current North Carolina licensure: LCMHC, LCSW, LPA, or LMFT
Minimum 2 years of clinical experience required
Experience in behavioral health, emergency/crisis work, and virtual/remote care preferred
Experience with suicide risk assessment and safety planning preferred
Knowledge of DSM criteria
Ability to implement crisis plans and interventions for suicidal, homicidal, psychotic, or aggressive patients
Ability to administer clinically validated screening tools and assessments
Ability to work shifts up to 12 hours
Must reside within 150 miles of the virtual hub in Charlotte, North Carolina
Must be able to travel to the virtual hub if connectivity issues arise
