About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage referrals, authorizations, and work queue tasks to support provider orders and patient care
- Schedule appointments, perform patient check-in, and handle front-end workflow
- Communicate with providers regarding orders and coordinate follow-ups
- Proactively contact patients to complete labs and prepare for upcoming appointments
- Order and maintain clinic supplies to ensure smooth daily operations
- Provide flexible support by stepping into patient care as needed, including MA duties and clinical assistance
- Document care accurately in the electronic health record
- Partner with physicians, nurses, and teammates to deliver high-quality, coordinated care
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School Diploma or GED required
- Must have a medical assistant diploma or 2 years of medical assistant experience or be a certified MA with 2 years of medical assistant experience
- Experience doing prior authorizations is a huge plus
- Bilingual Spanish/English (preferred)
