About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Participates in team focused patient care by means of patient examinations augmented by diagnostic and therapeutic evaluations/interventions in the medical and/or surgical theatres of health care
  • Provide first-assist surgical support on designated OR days, with scheduled outpatient clinic responsibilities
  • Under physician supervision, deliver direct diagnostic, therapeutic, and preventive care to patients
  • The clinician will work with cast tech and radiology tech support on-site
  • Collaborate with orthopedic team including 3 APPs and 3 Physicians, with specialties on-site including orthopedic joint replacement, sports medicine, foot and ankle, and hand/upper extremity

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant Program; Master's Degree preferred
  • Current North Carolina Medical Board Medical License, Certified by NCCPA
  • Current American Heart Association or Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) is required to start
  • Current Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) and Department of Public Safety (DPS) registration, for prescription writing is required to start
  • Graduation from accredited Nurse Practitioner Master's Program, Master's degree or higher required
  • Current North Carolina Board of Nursing Registered Nurse and Nurse Practitioner license
  • Board certified as a Nurse Practitioner by AANP or ANCC
  • Current American Heart Association or Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) is required to start
  • Current Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) and Department of Public Safety (DPS) registration, for prescription writing is required to start
  • RNFA Certification is required to start
