About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Demonstrates evidence-based practice and performs care for the comfort and wellbeing of the patient
  • Performs and/or assists with treatments, therapies, and procedures (including scrub assistant, monitoring and circulating) under the direction of the physician
  • Administers medication under the direct supervision of the physician, as appropriate
  • Documents a current clinical picture and records designated information in the patient record
  • Conveys relevant information to physicians and teammates
  • Calculates, interprets and analyzes data
  • Assists in development of policies, procedures and standards of care reflective of current practice/literature
  • Highly Recommended to participate in committee and governance activities

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Satisfactory completion of high school and an accredited program of Cardiovascular/Cardiopulmonary technology
  • The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, or related field required
  • If not licensed or certified (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist or Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist, allied health professional will have up to 12 months to successfully obtain)
  • Invasive Cardiovascular Specialist/Electrophysiology Specialist training or experience preferred
  • Graduate of an accredited Allied Health Technology program, such as Radiologic Technology, Respiratory Therapy, or comparable
  • Graduate of Cardiovascular Interventional Program or minimum of two years of experience as a Cardiovascular Specialist
