About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Demonstrates evidence-based practice and performs care for the comfort and wellbeing of the patient
Performs and/or assists with treatments, therapies, and procedures (including scrub assistant, monitoring and circulating) under the direction of the physician
Administers medication under the direct supervision of the physician, as appropriate
Documents a current clinical picture and records designated information in the patient record
Conveys relevant information to physicians and teammates
Calculates, interprets and analyzes data
Assists in development of policies, procedures and standards of care reflective of current practice/literature
Highly Recommended to participate in committee and governance activities

Requirements

What you’ll need

Satisfactory completion of high school and an accredited program of Cardiovascular/Cardiopulmonary technology
The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, or related field required
If not licensed or certified (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist or Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist, allied health professional will have up to 12 months to successfully obtain)
Invasive Cardiovascular Specialist/Electrophysiology Specialist training or experience preferred
Graduate of an accredited Allied Health Technology program, such as Radiologic Technology, Respiratory Therapy, or comparable
Graduate of Cardiovascular Interventional Program or minimum of two years of experience as a Cardiovascular Specialist
