About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support a clinic setting, alongside an Advanced Practice Provider and Surgeon
- Refer individuals to the appropriate specialist or General Practitioner as necessary
- Provide patient education regarding injury prevention, anatomy, body mechanics, and rehabilitation
- Progress athletes through rehabilitation protocols and return them functionally to a state comparable to pre-injury
- Responsible for rooming patients, checking in basket, DME, injections, assisting front desk and scheduling authorization teammate as needed, medication refills and authorizations, ordering clinic medications for buy and bill
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma or GED from an accredited institute required
- Completion of an accredited curriculum established by the National Association of Athletic Trainers (NATA) Board of Certification required
- Knowledge of the Athletic Training profession as normally acquired through academic experience, clinical affiliations, and/or previous work experience in the field
- Licensed as an Athletic Trainer NATA Board of Certification/applicable state Athletic Trainers Associations
