About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as a trusted consultant to leaders and teammates on complex employee relations matters.
- Provide guidance on performance management, conflict resolution, policy interpretation, corrective action, and workplace concerns.
- Partner with leaders to address sensitive situations involving allegations of harassment, discrimination, unfair treatment, and other employee relations issues.
- Collaborate with HR leaders and business partners to ensure consistent communication, alignment, and application of people practices.
- Coach and develop Team Member Relations Consultants while serving as a mentor and resource for the team.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, enhance service delivery, and strengthen organizational outcomes.
- Partner with Legal and People & Culture teams to support responses to employment-related claims, agency charges, and other workplace matters.
- Advise leaders on corrective action and conflict resolution processes through successful resolution and follow-up.
- Support unemployment-related matters in partnership with HR Service Center teams.
- Promote fair, consistent, and legally compliant workplace practices across the organization.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Education, or a related field
- Minimum of five years of employee relations experience
- Deep knowledge of employee relations practices, workplace investigations, performance management, and policy interpretation
- Strong consultation and relationship-building skills
- Ability to influence and coach leaders through complex and sensitive situations
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities
- Strong communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to balance employee advocacy with business needs and risk mitigation
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build trust with stakeholders at all levels
- Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
