About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as a trusted consultant to leaders and teammates on complex employee relations matters.
  • Provide guidance on performance management, conflict resolution, policy interpretation, corrective action, and workplace concerns.
  • Partner with leaders to address sensitive situations involving allegations of harassment, discrimination, unfair treatment, and other employee relations issues.
  • Collaborate with HR leaders and business partners to ensure consistent communication, alignment, and application of people practices.
  • Coach and develop Team Member Relations Consultants while serving as a mentor and resource for the team.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, enhance service delivery, and strengthen organizational outcomes.
  • Partner with Legal and People & Culture teams to support responses to employment-related claims, agency charges, and other workplace matters.
  • Advise leaders on corrective action and conflict resolution processes through successful resolution and follow-up.
  • Support unemployment-related matters in partnership with HR Service Center teams.
  • Promote fair, consistent, and legally compliant workplace practices across the organization.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Education, or a related field
  • Minimum of five years of employee relations experience
  • Deep knowledge of employee relations practices, workplace investigations, performance management, and policy interpretation
  • Strong consultation and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to influence and coach leaders through complex and sensitive situations
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to balance employee advocacy with business needs and risk mitigation
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build trust with stakeholders at all levels
  • Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
