About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provide patient care 36 hours per week, including four hours per week co-treating with a faculty mentor
Attend weekly lecture and lab sessions as well as directed learning activities
Monitor and evaluate outcomes and appropriately adjust the individualized treatment plan
Plan for and complete patient discharge including providing written home programs, patient/family teaching, referral for community services
Collaborate with appropriate stakeholders to assist in achieving optimum care for the patient
Manage assigned caseload, informing site leadership of coverage needs and ability to cover
Pursue professional growth through participation in continuing education courses, department in-services, and reading professional literature

Requirements

What you’ll need

Graduated from a CAPTE-accredited PT program
New graduates with a demonstrated interest in orthopaedic physical therapy are eligible to apply
Post-entry level clinical experience in outpatient physical therapy is desirable
License to practice physical therapy in the state that you are working in: Georgia; North Carolina; or Wisconsin
Active member of the APTA and Orthopedic section
CPR certification
Must demonstrate a commitment to learning
