About the role
- Will be responsible for enterprise-level media relations
- Provide strategic communications counsel for issues and media inquiries
- Create productive relationships with members of the media
- Manage external communications for localized crisis issues
- Build extensive internal relationships with leaders and frontline staff
- Proactively identify and share compelling stories
- Work cross-functionally within broader team to contribute to and manage communications efforts
- Monitor and measure media coverage in local market and make actionable recommendations to leadership
- Oversee and manage media monitoring and measurement for local market
- Collaborate with vendor partners and ensure continuity and quality
- Develop strategic annual media plans for primary geography
- Synthesize complex and wide-ranging information from a range of sources
- Produce compelling and creative presentations
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- 7+ years of professional experience in communications, marketing, journalism or other business-related field;
- prior experience working with senior leaders highly desirable
- Preferred: Bilingual Spanish
- Healthcare or healthcare adjacent experience
