About the role
- Float therapists interpret physician referrals and conduct speech and language evaluations
- Establish written plans of care and implement individual treatment
- Monitor and evaluate outcomes and adjust treatment plans
- Communicate and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure optimum care
- Manage assigned caseload and assist with coverage based on department needs
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Speech Pathology from an accredited school
- Licensed Speech Language Pathologist in the State
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers obtained within 90 days
- Certificate of Clinical Competence from American Speech and Hearing Association (ASHA) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) eligible
- No experience required
