About the role
- Acts as a resource, role model, and/or preceptor to employees and students
- Assigns, monitors, and reviews progress and accuracy of work
- Assists with human resource responsibilities
- Facilitates clinical problem solving and collaborates with other departments
- Participates in quality improvement, patient safety or cost containment initiatives
- Injects all radiopharmaceuticals and pharmacologic stress agents used in procedures
- Communicates with patients to ensure understanding of the process
- Performs routine and advanced imaging studies and procedures
- Maintains health information records and documentation
Requirements
- Nuclear Medicine Technologist certification (CNMT) or Nuclear Medicine Tech (N) registration (NMTCB or ARRT)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification
- Bachelor's Degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology, Biology, or related field
- Typically requires 5 years of experience in a nuclear medicine technologist role
