About the role
- Assists RN with daily care of patients including bathing, oral hygiene, feeding, and ambulation
- Measures and documents vital signs and patient data as requested
- Participates in admission, transfer, and discharge process under supervision of RN
- Ensures patient call light is always within reach and responds promptly
- Maintains competency and completes various errands as directed
Requirements
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification needed within 45 days
- Certificate of General Educational Development (GED) or High School Equivalency Diploma (HSED), or High School Graduate
- Basic computer skills
- Knowledge of principles of growth and development across the lifespan
