About the role

  • Assists RN with daily care of patients including bathing, oral hygiene, feeding, and ambulation
  • Measures and documents vital signs and patient data as requested
  • Participates in admission, transfer, and discharge process under supervision of RN
  • Ensures patient call light is always within reach and responds promptly
  • Maintains competency and completes various errands as directed

Requirements

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification needed within 45 days
  • Certificate of General Educational Development (GED) or High School Equivalency Diploma (HSED), or High School Graduate
  • Basic computer skills
  • Knowledge of principles of growth and development across the lifespan
