About the role
- Provide occupational therapy services to patients in their homes.
- Perform assessments to evaluate patients' functional abilities and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Implement therapeutic interventions to improve patients' skills in daily living and work activities.
- Educate patients and families on techniques to promote independence and safety.
- Document treatment outcomes and patient progress according to regulatory and company standards.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and contribute to continuous improvement of therapy services.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program, or Associates degree for COTA.
- Current state license to practice as an Occupational Therapist or COTA in Michigan.
- Prior experience in a home health or similar setting is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
- Must have a valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation.
