About the role
- Expert Guidance: You guide the client as a recognized expert, ensuring all standards are met and production partners (agencies, in-house teams, and vendors) maintain efficiency and risk management.
- Integrated Oversight: Successfully managing all aspects of production, post-production and VFX projects, including budgeting, scheduling, and team collaboration across multiple creative partners.
- Innovation Leadership: Demonstrating thought leadership by leveraging the latest technology and AI workflow solutions to optimize processes and achieve cost efficiencies.
- Strategic Relationship Management: Supports and nurtures client relationships to help brands realize their business objectives while identifying impactful process solutions.
- Operational Excellence: Anticipates potential problem areas, finds solutions, and leads APR engagements with day-to-day clients effectively.
- Manage cross-discipline interaction on projects with assigned client/agency groups.
- Vet production vendors for quality/value and negotiate agency and vendor bids for best value.
- Attend scoping, pre-bid, and strategy meetings to align creative, schedule, and budget.
- Enforce client policy, production guidelines, and best practices.
- Participate in Animation and VFX budget discussions and bid negotiations with broadcast SMEs and agency producers.
- Review Animation and VFX production specs, schedules, and budgets for accuracy.
- Assess plate or insert shoot needs, CG work, animation, and VFX compositing requirements.
- Review works in progress and rough cuts, facilitating communication between client and agency regarding costs and schedules.
- Educate clients and APR teams on advancements in production technology, AI in the production workflow, animation, and VFX.
- Act as a mentor for new or more junior team members and participate in cross-team knowledge sharing.
- Enter and validate all project information in APR’s database (Acero), including savings, KPIs, and cost drivers.
- Provide thought leadership to APR’s clients on best practices, opportunities, and risks related to post and VFX/AI workflows.
Requirements
- 15+ years of deep experience producing video content for an advertising or production company (line producer or EP)
- Minimum ten (10) years of experience producing animation and visual effects for video content
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PPT)
- Working understanding of VFX programs, technology, and AI workflow solutions
- Knowledge of union crew labor, SAG rules, and regional market rates
- Outgoing, collaborative, and diplomatic.
