Support client reporting requirements, including preparing protocol budget estimates and actual client spend schedules
Assist with the financial system setup for new customers, contract awards and pricing schedules
Prepare IRB invoices, review invoices for accuracy, distribute invoices, and perform other similar processes associated with the invoice-to-payments cycle
Prepare journal entries and updating of periodic financial close schedules
Respond to both internal business partner and external client inquiries
Preparation of periodic KPIs for management
Peer review of work performed by junior team members
Create ad hoc reporting as needed
Assist with acquisition related activities
Maintain databases to ensure data is up to date and accurate
Monitor shared mailbox; respond to invoice inquiries, credit memo requests, and fee schedule requests, etc.
Other duties as assigned

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent combination of education and experience
2+ years of related finance or accounting experience
Strong computer skills with MS EXCEL (Intermediate), MS Access, MS PowerPoint, and MS Word
Tableau, Oracle SQL, Salesforce, and NetSuite accounting software experience preferred
Accounting procedures and practical knowledge of GAAP
Must be organized, detail oriented, and able to provide solutions and follow-up within established rules and timelines
Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
Communication skills required (includes face to face, phone calls, email, and professional writing)
