About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Maintain record systems for patient information and gather documents
- Use electronic systems to collect, organize, and manage data
- Ensure medical records are organized, accurate, and complete
- Create digital copies of paperwork and store records electronically
- File paperwork and reports quickly and accurately
- Ensure HIPAA standards are met
- Follow confidentiality guidelines, rules, and procedures
- Interact with medical staff, healthcare providers, and other medical personnel
- Travel to medical facilities and hospitals to scan patient medical records
Requirements
What you’ll need- Valid driver’s license and clean motor vehicle record
- Own a car and have active insurance in their name
- Provide vehicle registration documentation
- Willingness to drive 60–80 miles or more round-trip
- Internet access at home
- Basic PC and office equipment skills
- Availability from 08:00 am to 05:00 pm in the respective time zone
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds
- Seasonal position expected to conclude by the end of January 2027, with possible extension
- Previous healthcare-setting experience is an additional good-to-have qualification
- Proficiency with EHR/EMR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or Meditech is an additional good-to-have qualification
- Intermediate knowledge of medical chart structure, content, and medical terminology is an additional good-to-have qualification
- Familiarity with Word, Excel, and Outlook is an additional good-to-have qualification
- Ability to operate and troubleshoot common printer and scanner issues is an additional good-to-have qualification
- Strong verbal and written communication skills is an additional good-to-have qualification
