• Fulfill General Supervisor duties in a clinical molecular infectious disease laboratory
• Process patient specimens using a real-time PCR platform
• Analyze data and report test results
• Perform equipment maintenance according to manufacturer specifications
• Prepare general laboratory reagents
• Monitor QA/QC records and ensure inspection readiness at all times
• Coordinate with Laboratory Director and Technical Supervisor
• Supervise laboratory staff
• Ensure adherence to OSHA, HIPAA, and other safety practices
• Identify and report unsafe equipment, conditions and practices
• Demonstrate competency for required diagnostic tests within 3 months of hire
• Report to the Technical Supervisor and Lab Director
