About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage Help Desk operations by answering calls, creating tickets, resolving issues, and ensuring timely closure
  • Provide technical support and training to end users on hardware and software
  • Perform daily host system operations
  • Set up and configure phones, email, and computers for users
  • Install, troubleshoot, and repair desktops, laptops, and IT hardware
  • Manage backup rotation and restore files as needed
  • Test and install software updates, patches, and security fixes
  • Maintain accurate Help Desk and IT documentation
  • Extract data and prepare management reports
  • Order equipment, software, and supplies upon supervisor approval
  • Research system enhancements as assigned
  • Communicate system status and issues to the supervisor
  • Deliver projects on time, within scope and budget
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Knowledge of general computer hardware and software
  • Understanding of state and federal laws related to IT compliance
  • Maintain software inventory and monitor licenses for vendor agreement compliance
  • Complete background and credit checks after signing the offer letter
