Assistant Vice President – Programming & Development

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Program requirements development — Collaborate with project owners and stakeholders to gather, define, and meet program requirements, considering buy‑vs‑build options and best‑practice approaches.
- Workflow design — Work with stakeholders to design and sequence workflow processes that align with user expectations.
- Resource and project planning — Align project load with resource availability by performing work breakdowns, estimating tasks and labor hours, and communicating constraints to stakeholders and Management.
- Project guidance and communication — Participate in meetings to provide direction, manage delivery expectations, and maintain transparency regarding departmental resource availability.
- Team development and liaison work — Support programmers’ ongoing development, ensure skills remain current, and serve as a liaison between programmers and organizational stakeholders to ensure timely, accurate work completion.
- System accuracy and issue resolution — Investigate program errors, identify root causes, propose solutions, establish debugging protocols, and perform functional testing with documented results.
- Strategic planning and reporting — Report workload and project status to all organizational levels; set annual budgets and business plans; and establish policies and procedures for programming, development, system lifecycles, technology research, deployments, maintenance, and sunsetting.
- Cultivate a positive, respectful, and collaborative culture-- across the organization--foster strong relationships among staff, departments, branches, and external partners. Champion a caring and inclusive environment for both employees and members, aligned with the Credit Union's mission and values.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College or university and minimum seven years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of formal education and experience.
- Master’s degree desirable.
- Minimum five years of prior management and leadership experience required.
