About the role
- Reviews and evaluates loan applications from direct and indirect channels, using appropriate tools to mitigate risk.
- Analyzes credit data, financial statements, and property valuations to determine creditworthiness and lending risk.
- Ensures all application data is complete and accurate in the loan origination system.
- Makes loan decisions within authorized limits and manages the performance of an assigned loan portfolio.
- Communicates with Dealers and Representatives regarding decisions and exceptions.
- Maintains strong knowledge of lending policies, procedures, Credit Union loan products, and peripheral products (e.g., Credit Life/Disability, GAP, Vehicle Service Contracts).
- Uses the loan origination system to generate and review financial ratios.
- Provides credit-related consultation to internal departments.
- Protects the confidentiality and security of member information.
- Recommends policy and procedure changes to management.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from four-year College or University; and three years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
