About the role
- Design, develop, enhance, and maintain backend applications and services in accordance with project requirements using Agile processes
- Build and optimize RESTful APIs and enterprise-grade backend solutions with a focus on performance, scalability, and reliability
- Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality, maintainability, and best practices are followed
- Collaborate closely with architects, product owners, and other engineers on design, planning, and technical solutions
- Provide technical mentorship to team members and contribute to knowledge sharing across teams
- Maintain accountability for high-quality, reliable, and well-documented code
- Engage in ongoing process improvements in development workflows, CI/CD pipelines, and team practices
- Troubleshoot, debug, and propose solutions for application performance, observability, and scalability challenges
- Actively participate in regular Agile ceremonies (planning, grooming, stand-ups, retrospectives, etc.)
- Continuously learn and apply new tools, frameworks, and technologies to enhance backend development practices
Requirements
- BS in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business / Management Information Systems, or related field (experience may be considered in lieu of degree)
- Minimum of 8 years of professional web development experience with a focus on backend engineering
- Minimum of 6 years in enterprise development (CI/CD, Multitenant SaaS, performance, scalability, observability, and ownership)
- Proven experience building RESTful services in C#
- Strong experience with SQL / T-SQL and NoSQL databases
- Cloud experience (AWS preferred)
- Strong technical problem-solving abilities
- Proven team collaboration and Agile development experience
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
