About the role
- Support media and communications activities
- Create and write pitches to reporters
- Draft content for social media and United’s blog
- Assist with drafting press releases and statements
- Conduct research on reporters covering energy and legislative issues
- Work with education and advocacy teams to execute communication strategies
Requirements
- Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Interest in media relations and/or communications
- Strong communication and writing skills
- Prior experience developing digital content (preferred)
- Familiarity with Muck Rack or other contact management systems (preferred)
- Detail-oriented; intellectually curious; strong written and oral communication skills; and interest in advanced energy and/or public policy career.
