About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Define, implement, and maintain comprehensive test strategies, test plans, and test cases covering functional, non-functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end scenarios.
- Design, build, and maintain robust automated testing frameworks for web applications, APIs, and mobile platforms to increase test coverage and efficiency.
- Partner closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts, and Tech Leads to review requirements (user stories, acceptance criteria) and ensure testability from day one.
- Identify, isolate, document, and track software defects using Jira. Work closely with development teams to ensure timely resolution and root-cause analysis.
- Validate complex business workflows and data integrity across system integrations and third-party enterprise platforms using backend testing methods.
- Execute performance, stress, and load testing on applications to ensure stability, scalability, and optimal user experience under heavy traffic.
- Integrate automated test suites into modern DevOps CI/CD deployment pipelines to enable continuous testing and continuous delivery.
- Guide and mentor junior QA engineers, conduct peer reviews of test documentation, and foster a strong culture of quality assurance within the engineering team.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
- 5+ years of dedicated experience in Software Quality Assurance and Testing, with at least 2 years in a Senior role.
- Proven track record of testing enterprise-level digital solutions, web applications, and APIs in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Strong hands-on experience with automation tools and libraries (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Robot Framework, or Appium).
- Expert proficiency in testing RESTful and SOAP APIs using tools like Postman, SoapUI, or JMeter.
- Solid knowledge of relational databases (SQL Server, Oracle) and ability to write complex SQL queries to validate data integrity.
- Hands-on experience with performance testing tools such as Apache JMeter or Locust.
- Comfort utilizing Jira, Confluence, Git, and CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or similar). Familiarity with low-code validation (OutSystems/Creatio) is a strong plus.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills, extreme attention to detail, and a structured approach to troubleshooting complex software flows.
- Excellent communication skills to articulate technical defects clearly to developers and business updates to stakeholders.
