About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Engineer the Next-Gen Platform: Actively contribute to the design and development of the organization's next-generation CI/CD ecosystem.
  • Deep-Dive Debugging: Investigate and root-cause failures in containerized workflows deployed at scale.
  • User Enablement: Partner with other development teams to ensure applications are cloud-native and scalable.
  • Perform day-to-day operational tasks such as upgrades and patching of Argo or Kubernetes platform.
  • Supervise the health of the platform and applications using tools like Prometheus and Grafana.
  • Handle tasks and projects with Agile methodologies such as Scrum.
  • Operational Excellence: Identify recurring issues in the support queue and propose permanent fixes or automation.
  • Incident Management (CSO): Respond to and drive the resolution of high-priority production issues to minimize downtime.
  • Participate in on-call rotation for incident management.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies in container orchestration.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • B.Tech Degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
  • Minimum of 2 - 4 years of experience working with Kubernetes.
  • Strong software development skills in Go Lang.
  • Experience with Python or similar languages preferred.
  • Familiarity with the 12-factor principles and software development lifecycle.
  • Understanding of GIT Ops pipelines and debugging workflow failures.
  • Familiarity and expertise with modern build systems such as Bazel is preferred.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Argo CD, Workflows, Rollouts, Events and Deployments.
  • Proficiency with Helm charts for managing Kubernetes applications.
  • Deep understanding of Kubernetes architecture and Docker, resource management, and solving issues.
  • Experienced with AWS, Azure, or other cloud platforms.
  • Understanding of cloud network architectures (VNET/VPC/Nat Gateway/Envoy etc.)
  • Solid understanding of time-series monitoring tools (such as Prometheus, Grafana, etc.)
  • Certified Kubernetes Administrator and/or Developer/Security certifications encouraged.
  • Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to trace issues across distributed systems and containerized microservices.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with and assist internal engineering customers.
