Key responsibilities & impact

Lead, mentor, and develop a team of senior sourcing professionals, setting clear expectations and encouraging growth
Own end-to-end sourcing strategy for complex software categories, including enterprise agreements, SaaS contracts, licensing negotiations, and renewals
Guide your team through high-stakes commercial negotiations, structuring deal strategies, evaluating trade-offs, and presenting recommendations to executives
Partner with engineering, finance, legal, and business leadership to translate collaborator needs into effective sourcing approaches
Develop and deliver executive-ready analyses and presentations that distill complex deal dynamics into clear narratives
Build and maintain positive relationships with strategic software suppliers to capture full value while managing risk
Drive continuous improvement in sourcing processes, tools, and team capabilities
Support quarterly business reviews and governance discussions with data-driven insights and forward-looking strategies

Requirements

What you’ll need

8+ years of professional experience in strategic sourcing, commercial negotiations, consulting, finance, or related analytical fields
3+ years of experience leading or managing teams, developing talent, and raising performance standards
Strong quantitative and analytical skills, including modeling deal scenarios and structuring complex financial recommendations
Outstanding communication skills, with the ability to explain commercial and technical concepts clearly to various audiences
Proven ability to manage multiple high-priority workstreams while maintaining quality in a fast-paced environment
A track record of building positive relationships across functions, influencing without authority, and navigating competing collaborator priorities
Comfort with ambiguity and a structured approach to crafting clarity from complex information
Direct experience in software procurement, SaaS sourcing, or technology category management
MBA, JD, or advanced degree or equivalent experience in a related field
Familiarity with enterprise procurement systems such as GEP, Coupa, or similar platforms
Background in software licensing models, cloud contracting, and evolving technology commercial structures
Experience with BI reporting tools, spend analytics, or data visualization platforms
