About the role
- Support offshore teams on cyber security topics related to SCADA systems, networks and industrial control systems
- Serve as the point of contact for OT network and security issues
- Assist technicians and service teams with secure remote access, firewall rules, user management and network protection
- Provide remote support via hotline, phone, email or ticketing systems — including duties as part of a rotating on-call roster
- Collaborate closely with Engineering, IT Security and 3rd-level teams to develop and enhance security measures
- Support audits and ensure compliance with relevant security standards
- Share knowledge, mentor colleagues and continuously improve processes and security solutions
- Support the delivery and commissioning of new offshore wind farm projects
Requirements
- Minimum 2–3 years of professional experience working with cyber security standards such as IEC 62443, NIS2 and KRITIS‑V, ideally in industrial or critical infrastructure environments
- At least 2 years of hands-on experience with industrial routers and switches from various manufacturers (e.g., Hirschmann, Moxa, Cisco, RuggedCom)
- Solid experience with Cisco® network components, including configuration, hardening and troubleshooting
- Knowledge of virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, Proxmox) is a plus
- Strong debugging and analytical skills, supported by practical experience in systematic troubleshooting of complex network systems
- Experience with industrial electrical systems (e.g., substations, automation installations, switchgear) is advantageous
- Good working knowledge of industrial communication protocols such as Modbus, IEC 60870-5-104 (IEC 104) or OPC UA
- Extensive hands-on experience with Windows servers and Linux systems (installation, configuration, basic administration)
- Very good English skills (C1) and good German skills (B2), both written and spoken
