Attorney

• Review docketing statements, standard and emergency motions, opinions circulating in Superior Court, and certified records
• Conduct comprehensive review of trial court dockets to identify jurisdictional issues and other problems requiring attention before listing appeals before a merits panel
• Review petitions for permission to appeal and prepare memoranda and recommendations for Motion Panel review and votes
• Prepare summaries, recommendations, and draft orders for review by the Motions Judge
• Prepare summaries, recommendations, and draft orders for review and votes by the Motions Panel
• Assist in research projects requested of Central Legal Staff
• Work directly with Judges and chambers of the Superior Court to resolve matters involving civil cases
• Assist in editing team members’ work
• Assist with attorney functions in the relevant office, including working with the Superior Court Prothonotary’s office to resolve appellate docket issues
• Perform related work as required
