About the role
- Responsible for identifying channel needs and providing technical support for product offerings, working closely with the sales team and contributing to the business cycle in the assigned region.
- Assist the sales team with required pre-sales activities, contributing to proposals, negotiations and deal closures.
- Identify current and future customer service needs by building strong personal relationships with prospective and existing customers and other stakeholders able to understand service requirements.
- Provide technical and engineering information about products, services and/or equipment across various solution offerings; respond to technical questions and requests from sales colleagues, channel partners or customers.
- Deliver presentations at events, providing technical information, answering customer questions, performing sizing, conducting proof-of-concept tests and providing technical support.
- Contribute to customer training and development by providing technical information, conducting trainings, technical workshops, webinars and other resources to advance technical capabilities in the channel programs for assigned product lines.
- Train technical and sales personnel through manufacturer solution workshops and presentation sessions.
- Identify improvements through cost-benefit analysis of equipment, supplies or service applications in the customer environment.
- Keep the sales team informed about new technologies, solutions and trends.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by supporting trainees/learners and completing the technical certifications required by the partner program for the assigned product lines.
- Design the overall architecture of a suitable technical solution to meet customer needs.
- Perform proof-of-concept tests or demonstrations when necessary before a formally registered opportunity and align assumptions with the sales team.
- Prepare sales engineering reports by compiling, analyzing and summarizing sales information, engineering trends and applications.
- Contribute to the effectiveness of sales engineering by identifying short- and long-term issues that must be addressed; provide information, recommendations, propose courses of action and implementation guidelines.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Networking, Computer Science, Telecommunications or related fields.
- 2 years in similar roles with a focus on IT solution design. (Required)
- Computer skills: Microsoft Office – Advanced level (Required)
- Languages: English – Advanced level (Desired)
- Knowledge of architecture standards and best practices, physical servers and storage, data center security, and backup (according to required specialization).
