About the role

  • Manage HR business relationship for assigned client groups in the North America Retail organization across employee relations, performance management, talent programs, health and safety, and recruitment
  • Partner with the retail HR team to build and execute strategies that support the line of business
  • Partner closely with district managers and employees to ensure Global and regional HR programs are implemented and supported in accordance with adidas policy
  • Contribute to HR team by assisting with development and implementation of retail HR strategies to improve HR operational effectiveness
  • Establish HR as a trusted business partner and ensure HR initiatives, programs, and policies are understood and implemented within the LOB
  • Address employee relations issues as management coach and employee advocate, including mediations, terminations, and investigations
  • Coach and consult with managers on talent and succession management and performance coaching for all employee levels
  • Determine training needs and identify appropriate tools to meet business needs
  • Lead multi-disciplinary projects involving Global HR, Recruiting, Compensation, Benefits, Development and Training to achieve project objectives
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and create/implement solutions
  • Build alliances with management and establish a consultative role at all levels within the LOB
  • Solve routine HR problems and modify procedures, policies, systems and processes as appropriate
  • Collaborate with US Retail HR team, US HR Services, Employee Relations, Legal, Rewards, Talent Acquisition and other NAM HR partners

Requirements

  • Four-year college or university degree
  • Minimum 5 years related experience and/or training
  • Previous Retail HR experience
  • Equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be substituted for degree
  • Ability to objectively navigate complex employee relations issues
  • Ability to establish strong rapport and professional credibility to influence at all levels
  • Strong analytical skills to assess data, facts, and figures
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize work
  • Ability to learn and understand database concepts and how adidas tracks and maintains data
  • Advanced MS Office skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and oral
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment and effective decision making
