About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead the development of proprietary frameworks and code for the analysis of electrified propulsion technologies.
Perform first-principles modeling activities to develop high-complexity models.
Integrate basic or advanced control logic that governs the physical behavior of the models incorporated into the frameworks and proprietary code.
Create pre- and post-processing tools, providing support to troubleshoot issues related to the use of the frameworks and proprietary code.
Communicate results through oral presentations and written reports to Chief Engineers, COEs, component engineers, and powertrain managers.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Master’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, Industrial, or Automotive).
Previous experience in the automotive sector.
Proficiency in English (spoken and written).
Deep knowledge of vehicle propulsion systems (internal combustion engines, transmissions, axles, drivelines, batteries, and electric motors).
Strong knowledge of hybrid and electrified control strategies, as well as energy management optimization.
Knowledge of Torque Path strategies for hybrid and electrified propulsion systems.
Knowledge of ECMS (Equivalent Consumption Minimization Strategy) for energy management.
Advanced knowledge of commercial tools such as MATLAB/Simulink, Stateflow, and GT-Suite.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Microsoft Teams.
Knowledge of fluid dynamics and heat transfer.
Experience in production controls.
Experience with Git for code versioning and collaborative workflows.
Experience with vehicle testing or data analysis.
