About the role
- Identify, evaluate, and implement improvements to processing, distribution, packaging material, equipment, and methods of operations by using proven Industrial Engineering techniques
- Develop and maintain Engineered labor standards for designated job functions within the distribution center
- Reduce overall operational cost by identifying opportunities to increase productivity and quality within the distribution centers
- Improve leadership’s decision-making by providing recommendations based on data
- Identify and quantify constraints within the distribution centers and implement process improvements
- Recommend methods for improving employee-level efficiency and reducing waste of materials and utilities
- Participate in weekly operational performance meetings to provide expertise on opportunities for improvement
- Manage process documentation, prepare reporting tools and maintain labor standards
- Assist in maintaining and troubleshooting the Manhattan Labor Management productivity tracking software program
- Interact with hourly distribution center employees to identify best practices
- Monitor and facilitate the efficient utilization of the facility’s PIT fleet
- Conduct feasibility assessments and create financial business cases for projects
- Lead and manage end-to-end small to mid-scale projects
- Ensure compliance to adidas & Supply Chain Management standards
- Manage project budget, tracking, and report monthly budget accruals and variances
Requirements
- Candidate should have a degree in Industrial Engineering or closely related field
- 3 or more years of experience in a distribution center environment
- Strong MS-Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, PowerBI)
- Broad background in Industrial Engineering technology and application
- Strong experience in working on several projects simultaneously
- Must be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Must possess a continuous improvement mindset with critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Lean six sigma Green or Black highly desirable
- Experience with AutoCAD is highly desirable
- Experience with Manhattan WMS systems is highly desirable
- Thorough understanding of work measurement programs such as MTM and MOST, and time study techniques
- Experience with developing and implementing direct labor standards for costing, staffing, and evaluating performance where required
- Ability to travel, domestic or international, as required, up to 10%
- Fluent English (verbal and written)
