About the role
- Support the design and development of outdoor-inspired apparel
- Assist in designing full-category outdoor apparel, including tops, bottoms, outerwear, down/padded jackets, and seasonal layering pieces.
- Translate design ideas into sketches, flat drawings, color-ups, and basic tech packs for development teams.
- Participate in fabric, trim, and color selection, with attention to performance properties and visual impact.
- Collaborate with senior designers to build cohesive OD product stories.
- Research outdoor sport, athleisure, and lifestyle sportswear trends across global and local markets.
- Track developments in functional fabrics, stretch materials, moisture management, and lightweight constructions.
- Monitor fashion trends in silhouette, proportion, and color that can elevate outdoor products.
- Support seasonal design execution in line with the product calendar.
- Work closely with Product Development, Merchandising, and Sourcing teams to ensure designs are feasible and cost-aligned.
- Participate in sample reviews, fittings, and performance-related feedback, supporting continuous refinement.
- Maintain clear and organized design files throughout the development process.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Apparel Design, or a related field.
- 3+ years of apparel design experience, preferably in outdoor products, performance sportswear, or fashion-functional apparel.
- Background or strong interest in outdoor products design is required.
- Women’s apparel or women’s sportswear experience is an advantage.
- Understanding of garment construction, fit for movement, and functional materials.
- Portfolio demonstrating design sensibility, functional thinking, and product versatility.
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
- Basic working proficiency in English; Mandarin is required.
