About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Assist in improvement processes aimed at implementing Good Manufacturing Practices and improving processes for obtaining Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs), focusing on biochemical processes for obtaining glycosaminoglycans (heparins and heparinoids of bovine and porcine origin and chondroitin sulfate).
  • Assist in the development of new products of interest for the extraction and fractionation division.
  • Assist in organizing the R&D laboratory.
  • Request materials and supplies from the warehouse.
  • Perform administrative tasks such as recording and monitoring invoices and purchase requests via ERP.
  • Organize and prepare equipment and utensils for bench-scale pilot trials.
  • Assist with bench-scale pilot trials in the R&D laboratory.
  • Assist in performing analyses for pilots and tests in the R&D and MPB areas.
  • Handle organic solvents and chemical reagents relevant to the process.
  • Dispose of waste generated in analyses or pilot trials.
  • Keep the laboratory and production support areas clean and organized.
  • Keep records and documents up to date, organized, and preserved.
  • Use personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Follow all operational, safety, environmental, quality, and administrative procedures established by the company.
  • Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Currently enrolled in a degree program in Pharmacy, Chemistry, Engineering (Chemical, Production, Food, etc.), Biotechnology, Biology, or related fields.
  • Academic experience in laboratory techniques, such as physicochemical analyses, biological assays, among others.
  • Familiarity with scientific data analysis tools and software.
  • Ability to interpret and prepare technical and scientific reports.
  • Currently pursuing higher education.
  • English - Reading and Comprehension: Intermediate.
