About the role
- Formulate and oversee project plans, timelines, and budgets to guarantee successful delivery
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure fulfillment of project requirements and timely deliverables
- Recognize and address project risks and issues and devise contingency plans
- Relay project status, progress, and issues to the Technical Director
- Ensure that project documentation is thorough, precise, and current
- Manage project resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials
- Facilitate internal project meetings, including kick-off, status updates, and review sessions
- Ascertain that project deliverables comply with quality standards and meet customer expectations
- Oversee project change requests and scope adjustments, ensuring appropriate approvals
- Continuously enhance project management processes and methodologies to boost efficiency and effectiveness
- Provide oversight and management of work backlogs, prioritization processes, and work scheduling and monitoring
- Cultivate strong relationships with customers, partners, and internal team members
- Play a central role in technical planning and implementation for FTTH projects and report directly to the Technical Director
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline (required)
- Master's degree in a relevant field considered an asset
- Approximately 3-5 years of hands-on experience in business and technical Project Management roles
- PM certification is a plus
- Familiarity with project management tools/apps and reporting/analytics
- Proficient experience in the Telecommunications sector, with emphasis on Fiber Optics technologies
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Demonstrated capability to oversee and manage multiple complex projects simultaneously
