About the role
- Manage and develop new direct manufacturing customers by promoting specialty grains and oils, with a focus on grains.
- Develop and execute customer-centric strategies to drive volume growth, maximize margin performance, and expand market share.
- Develop and maintain customer project pipeline.
- Develop account plans for customers to deliver annual volume and profitability targets.
- Provide accurate forecasts based on customer demand.
- Collaborate with multiple internal departments to add value and drive growth.
- Maintain and further develop relationships with existing customer base.
- Establish and maintain new customers by building relationships with key stakeholders in Procurement, R&D and other departments.
- Represent Adams at trade events.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; in food, agriculture, science or a related field
- 3+ years of account management or business development experience, preferably in ingredients (food or non-food)
- Proven success in managing accounts and driving revenue growth
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to prioritize and manage deadlines in a changing environment
- Available for overnight travel. Travel frequency will vary depending on business needs. Estimated 50% maximum.
